The Central Pennsylvania Water Quality Association is a diverse organization whose membership of water quality professionals includes operators, supervisors & managers, municipal administrators, laboratory personnel, engineers, consultants, government regulators, manufacturers, students and academia. CPWQA is dedicated to the advancement of the knowledge of design, construction, operation and management of municipal and industrial wastewater treatment facilities. To achieve this goal, we arrange networking and educational opportunities for our members, keep our members informed of relevant and important issues, and provide continuing education opportunities. The Association publishes a quarterly newsletter containing articles, legislative updates, and advance notice of upcoming Association events and continuing education opportunities.
The Association organizes 4 annual meetings, held at area wastewater treatment plants throughout the year. The meetings include vendor exhibit halls, mini-training sessions, and plant tours. The meetings finish with lunch, a technical presentation, and a business meeting. These meetings provide networking and discussions between operators, consultants, and vendors. Visiting local WWTPs also provides great opportunities to be up close and personal with the latest technologies. Other social events throughout the year, including the annual awards meeting and young professional outings, allow participants to network with the area’s top industry professionals in a relaxed setting.
